Stavros Gravas

Stavros Gravas is a Professor of Urology at the University of Cyprus and works in the Department of Urology at the Hospital of Nicosia since 2021.

He completed the Fellowship of Endourological Society (2002) and he holds a PhD thesis from the University of Athens (2005) and a PhD thesis from the University of Amsterdam (2007).

Dr. Gravas is the General Secretary of the Société Internationale d’Urologie (SIU).

He was the Chairman of the European Association of Urology (EAU) Guidelines Working Group on Non-neurogenic male LUTS/BPO and contributed to the production of the EAU Patient Information Leaflet on Overactive Bladder, Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia and Nocturia, providing reliable information to patients about urogenital diseases. He is a founding member of the Council of the Clinical Research Office of the Endourological Society (CROES) representing Europe.

Dr. Gravas is a Consulting Editor of Prostate Cancer and Prostatic Diseases and member of the Editorial Board of “European Urology Open Science” and “Asian Journal of Urology”. He also served as Section Editor of Journal of Endourology on New Technologies (2008 - 2020).

He is author of 160 full-text publications in international, peer-reviewed journals (Pubmed-indexed) with more than 10150 citations and a h-index of 43.
